Prt. George Nash, formerly of the Wiltshire Regiment, served with No.2 Troop of No.6 Commando.

Prt. George Nash was Killed In Action (KIA) on 24th March 1945, aged 22 years.

George was the son of William James Nash and Minnie Beatrice Nash, of Cholderton, Wiltshire. He was laid to rest in the Reichswald Forest War Cemetery (Kleve, Nordrhein-Westfalen) Grave 62.A.16.

The inscription on his headstone reads:

‘Safe in God’s keeping until the day break and the shadows flee.  Mum and Dad.’
